Questions about the tools
Are the Sell Your Car tools really free?
Yes. All 24 tools are free and work without an account. You never need to leave an email address to see a result. Only the APK reminder asks for an email address, and in this version it is stored in your own browser only.
Which rates do the tools use?
The 2026 rates and rules, checked with sources such as the RDW, the Belastingdienst, the ANWB and Milieuzones.nl. A registration transfer costs €13.10, for example, and since 1 January 2026 a dealer may not accept €3,000 or more in cash. Every tool lists its sources at the bottom.
Do you store what I enter?
No, not on our servers. Calculations run in your browser. Checklists and reminders are saved locally in your browser so you can pick up where you left off. When you look up a plate, your browser fetches the public data from the RDW.
Can I rely on the result of a tool?
No, it is an indication. The valuation and price checks use our own model with a range, and the tax tools use published rates. Always check important amounts at the source, such as rdw.nl or belastingdienst.nl, and book a pre-purchase inspection if in doubt.
