In the Netherlands, Mercedes-Benz is the brand of comfort and status. The A-Class and B-Class brought many new buyers to the brand, the C-Class is the business mid-sizer and the E-Class the classic big Mercedes, also widely used as a taxi. The GLA is the compact SUV. Many young Mercedes come off lease, often as plug-in hybrids with full dealer history.
With Mercedes, trim and options set the price: AMG Line, the MBUX system with two large screens, Multibeam LED, a panoramic roof and Burmester audio make a big difference. Buyers ask about servicing on the ASSYST schedule (A and B services), the automatic and, on plug-ins, the battery. A car with a digital service record from the dealer sells faster. Start with a free valuation.
Mercedes cars hold their value reasonably well, especially well-equipped AMG Line examples. Large plug-ins and diesels lose value faster, partly because of higher road tax since 2026.

Mercedes uses the ASSYST maintenance system. An A service is smaller; a B service is more extensive, with more parts replaced. They alternate. Buyers want to see they were done on time.
Yes, usually. AMG Line means sportier styling with different bumpers, wheels and seats. On many models it is the most sought-after package. A genuine AMG (such as a C 43) is a separate category.
Yes. Since 1 January 2026, plug-in hybrids pay the full tariff on their full weight. Large plug-ins such as the C 300 e and E 300 e are heavy, so road tax is substantial. Calculate it with the road tax tool.
Private usually nets the most, but premium buyers ask a lot of questions and often want an inspection. An auction with dealers and private buyers quickly gives several bids. Compare with the net proceeds tool.
