The A-Class is the entry-level Mercedes that made the brand younger. The W176 (2012–2018) is a sporty hatchback; the W177 (from 2018) brought the MBUX system with two large screens and voice control ("Hey Mercedes"), and is also available as a Saloon and as the A 250 e plug-in. Buyers are young professionals, couples and older drivers after a compact premium car.
Price depends heavily on trim and options. An A 180 or A 200 with AMG Line, automatic and the large MBUX screens (Widescreen Cockpit) is most in demand. With the A 250 e, buyers ask about the battery and charging cable. A complete ASSYST service history at the dealer makes a clear difference. Compare your asking price with the fair price check.

The W177 (from 2018) as an A 180 or A 200 with AMG Line and automatic. The large screens and ambient lighting make it attractive. The W176 is cheaper and popular with smaller budgets.
For people who charge at home, yes: it covers a good distance on electricity and is quick. The boot is smaller because of the battery, and since 2026 it pays full road tax. Include the charging cable.
Yes, but it pays more road tax because of the diesel surcharge. A diesel only makes sense for high-mileage drivers. Work out the difference with the fuel cost tool and road tax tool.
