Median per year. New price: what the car cost new in the Netherlands, the RDW catalogue price (incl. VAT, BPM and factory options, without delivery costs). For cars imported used: the Dutch catalogue price of that version. Value kept: asking price divided by the car’s own new price. Drop per year: value kept against the next newer year; a plus means that year asks relatively more. Older cars have more miles, which is part of the drop. * Fewer than 5 cars: indicative only. Asking prices, not sale prices.
With 4,595 sales in 2025, the ID.3 was the second most-traded used electric car in the Netherlands, after the Tesla Model 3. Buyers are mostly private motorists who want to go electric without a Tesla budget, plus freelancers and commuters who charge at home. More than with a petrol car, the battery sets the value: Pure (about 45 kWh usable), Pro (58–59 kWh) or Pro S (77–79 kWh). Mileage matters less than measured battery health.
Early cars from 2020–2021 had software teething troubles; cars running recent software drive noticeably better. A heat pump improves winter range and value. In 2026 electric cars get a 30% discount on road tax. Note that buyers may hold off for the announced used-EV subsidy (OGEA), which is not open yet. Have an SoH test done (checking the battery), start with a free valuation and compare trade-in, auction and private sale.

That depends more on the battery than on the mileage. An ID.3 with 100,000 km and good SoH is more attractive to buyers than a lower-mileage car without a battery report. The battery version (Pure, Pro, Pro S), heat pump and software version also count. Have the battery tested, then get a free valuation by licence plate.
Not necessarily. The used-EV switching subsidy (OGEA) was announced in a letter to parliament on 21 September 2026 but is not open yet; opening is planned preferably for Q4 2026, otherwise Q2 2027. It means €4,000, or €6,000 when scrapping a Euro 0–4 car, for EVs with a list price of €12,000 to €60,000. Read the latest status.
The Pro with 58 or 59 kWh usable. For most buyers it offers enough range at an affordable price, and there are plenty on offer. The Pro S with the big battery suits high-mileage drivers, while the Pure with the smallest battery is mainly for city use. Always state the exact battery in your ad and whether a heat pump is fitted.
